Giovani Bernard has been impressive throughout his rookie season, but he took things to another level Thursday night in Miami.

With the Bengals trailing 17-10 in the fourth quarter, Bernard turned in a Barry Sandersesque touchdown run that may go down as the one of the top plays of the 2013 NFL season. Bernard took a toss from Bengals QB Andy Dalton and headed toward the right sideline, where he was met by linebacker Philip Wheeler and cornerback Brent Grimes.

But Bernard would not be denied. He spun away from the joint tackle attempt by Wheeler and Grimes, then raced all the way back across the field before cutting toward the end zone. With a convoy of blockers in front of him, Bernard managed to avoid a couple more defenders -- plus Grimes a second time -- and somersaulted into the end zone.

The touchdown was Bernard's second of the night and his sixth of the season (four rushing, two receiving). He had been stuck in a two-game scoreless drought, though, and had not crossed the goal line on the ground since Week 3, prior to making it there twice against the Dolphins.
