No team has repeated as champions since the Patriots did it in 2004 and '05.

It's never too early to look ahead to next season.

Hours after the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII, oddsmakers deemed Seattle the favorite to win the 2014 title. The Seahawks opened at 9/2 odds (via Bovada.lv), followed by the San Francisco 49ers (15/2) and the Broncos (8/1). The teams with the longest odds: the Jacksonville Jaguars (100/1), Oakland Raiders, Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills (all at 75/1).

Even with a young, talented squad largely under contract for next season, the Seahawks do face questions this offseason. Michael Bennett, who led the team with 8.5 sacks, is poised to be a free agent, and the team faces cap questions with Cliff Avril and Chris Clemons.

No team has repeated as champions since the Patriots did it in 2004 and '05. In the last 12 years, six champions have failed to make the postseason the following season.
