Dallas Cowboys would to trade up in 2014 NFL draft if elite player available

The Dallas Cowboys aren't interested in the St. Louis Rams' No. 2 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft, but that doesn't mean they're not looking to trade up.

Always on the lookout for a star in the making, the Cowboys front office is reportedly open to the idea of moving up in the draft assuming an elite player that fills a need is available.

Multiple sources have said the Cowboys aren't trying to move up from No. 16 to No. 2.

However, the sources did say the Cowboys would be willing to make a move up if [they] were able to obtain an elite player who can fill an immediate hole.

Who exactly that "elite" player would be is currently unknown, though the Cowboys do need help on the defensive side of the ball, a sentiment owner Jerry Jones admitted in the above interview.
