Jadeveon Clowney told he'll be No. 1 pick in 2014 NFL draft?

The curtain has been closed on Jadeveon Clowney's pre-draft parade schedule as the South Carolina product has informed teams he will no longer be participating in any workouts.

The decision has fired up the rumor mill, with some believing Clowney has been promised he'll be selected with the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft by the Houston Texans.

It's certainly within reason to believe, though, there could be other reasons as to why Clowney had decided to shut things down -- namely injuries.

We've seen a few players in recent weeks suffer devastating injuries (torn ACL, etc) during individual workouts and Clowney, with little else to prove, understandably doesn't need to risk such as he has little to gain, but much to lose.

Of course, the desire to pull out of workouts will lead some skeptics to suggest it's "typical Clowney behavior" as the defensive star has had his work ethic questioned by his former head coach Steve Spurrier along with unnamed NFL scouts.
