We've heard rumors suggesting that the Atlanta Falcons want to move up in the 2014 NFL Draft, but what about down?
It seems a little odd to suggest, as just days ago there was noise about the Falcons potentially becoming a trade partner with the Houston Texans if they were to move the No. 1 overall selection. Recently, though, Atlanta general manager Thomas Dimitroff told reporters moving down is also a possibility.
Dimitroff was asked about the potential idea of swapping picks with the Texans, though he stated he couldn't get into the specifics, so little was talked about in regards to moving up.
As far as moving down, the Falcons (who currently own the 6th pick) do need multiple impact players (especially on both the offensive and defensive lines) and acquiring multiple picks could help the team expedite the rebuilding of their trenches.
Dimitroff stated the team had fielded calls for their selection so there appears to be definite interest, though said he believed that there wouldn't be any massive deals completed before the draft.
