DeSean Jackson looks to 'turn it up' against Eagles in Week 3

For the next few months, we're likely to hear plenty regarding DeSean Jackson's return to Philadelphia, and once the season finally kicks off, his hotly-anticipated return won't be far away.

Jackson and his Washington Redskins will travel to Philadelphia in Week 3 for an intriguing early-season matchup, and the game will undoubtedly be especially significant to the exiled wide receiver.

Still upset over his unusual departure, Jackson says he's ready to "turn it up" against his former team during an appearance  Tuesday on NFL Total Access.

"Regardless if it is versus the Eagles in Week 3, that is highlighted, that is circled on the calendar," Jackson said. "But any time I go on the field, any game I ever play in the NFL ... any time I strap it up and play, I'm ready to turn on versus anybody. But that game will be highlighted and I can't wait to get it on versus whoever we play against. But for sure, that game you already know I'm ready to turn it up."

Jackson, who spent his first six NFL seasons in Philly, said he often thinks about showing the Eagles they made a mistake in cutting him.

"I think about that every time I step on the field, especially the legacy I have in Philadelphia and the things I've done for that organization," Jackson said. "I felt like I left back a lot there, but I had to take it to D.C."

Jackson apparently had more offers as a free-agent than were initially reported. The wide receiver suggested he had a "couple offers to stay home" with California teams, but he felt as if the Redskins presented him with the best opportunity going forward.
