Chargers receiver Malcom Floyd confident in return from neck injury
San Diego Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd is confident about his return from a neck injury that ended his 2013 season, he told Tom Krasovic of the U-T San Diego.
Floyd missed the majority of the 2013 season after injuring his neck in the second game of the season. Against the Philadelphia Eagles, two defenders simultaneously tackled Floyd and his season ended with his career in question.
He dismissed questions of his future to Krasovic:
“I’m confident right now,” he said following the final spring practice, June 18. “I don’t have any doubts in my mind right now.
“It was just a fluke event.”
Floyd, 32, has spent his entire nine-year career with the Chargers. He had 814 yards receiving and 5 touchdowns during the 2012 season.
