The Houston Texans released offensive tackle Brennan Williams under the failed physical designation, reports ESPN's Field Yates.
Williams, 23, was drafted in the third round by Houston in 2013. He did not appear in any games for the team.
The 6-foot-6, 310-pound Williams was an All-ACC honorable mention as a senior at North Carolina in 2012.
The Texans went 2-14 and finished in last place in the AFC South last season.
