Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon checked into rehab after he was arrested for driving while impaired earlier this month, Fox Sports' Mike Garafolo reported on Thursday. But he is expected to report to training camp on Friday.

NFL suspends Ravens running back Ray Rice for two games

Gordon spent two weeks in a California rehab facility after his arrest in North Carolina, Garafolo reports.

The 23-year-old, who led the league with 1,646 receiving yards last season, is facing a one-year suspension for a second failed drug test and is expected to appeal the ban on Aug. 1.

"It is concerning," Browns coach Mike Pettine said about Gordon's situation on Monday, "and you want to address it, but until we know where he stands with the league we don't know really where he stands with us. I've stated before that we've had the meetings, we've discussed all the options, from the best case to the worst case. And we're still in that mode of waiting."
