Sopoaga, currently a free agent, last played for the Patriots. He signed a three-year contract with the Eagles in 2013 before being traded to New England mid-season. The Patriots cut him in March.

In total, the 32-year-old played 14 games in 2013, registering 12 tackles and one sack.

Prior to last season, he spent eight years with the San Francisco 49ers, who drafted him in 2004.
