Report: Cardinals QB Carson Palmer will sit against Giants

Sunday September 14th, 2014

Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer will not play Sunday against the Giants, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Palmer was limited in practice this week due to a sore shoulder. Backup QB Drew Stanton will start in his place. According to the Cardinals, this will be Stanton's first regular-season appearance since he played six games for Detroit in 2010.

Palmer completed 24 of 37 passes for 304 yards and two touchdowns in the team's week-one win over the Chargers.
