Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict expected to return to practice this week
Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict is expected to return to practice this week after missing last Sunday's 33-7 win over the Tennessee Titans with a concussion.
From TV station Fox19 in Cincinnati:
FOX19 Now asked Marvin Lewis before the Bengals hit the practice field if Burfict would return and coach responded, "I would imagine he will. Yes."
Burfict was initially diagnosed with a stinger after leaving the Titans' Week 2 win over the Atlanta Falcons in the second half. Concussion-related symptoms reportedly didn't surface until after the game. The 6-foot-1, 248-pounder also suffered a concussion in the Bengals' Week 1 win over the Ravens.
The 23-year-old recorded an NFL-high 115 tackles and three sacks over 16 games last season.
The Bengals, which are 3-0 this season with wins over the Falcons, Titans and Ravens, play at the New England Patriots on Sunday.
