Report: 2015 NFL draft set to start in late April
The 2015 NFL draft will start on April 30 and run to May 2, according to ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter.
No decision has been made about the location, but reports say the league is deciding between Los Angeles and Chicago.
For the first time, last year’s draft was held in May at Radio City Music Hall in New York because of scheduling conflicts with the building. The draft has been held in New York City every year since 1965.
The 2014 draft saw a ratings spike, with a 50 percent increase in viewership over the previous year, setting a record and beating NBA and NHL playoff games.
The first round will be held April 30 -- a Thursday night -- with the second and third rounds being held the next day. The fourth through seventh rounds would start Saturday afternoon.
