NFLPA president Eric Winston said the league will begin testing for Human Growth Hormone (HGH) on Monday, according to a report from NFL Media's Albert Breer.

The NFL and its players association announced the agreement on Sept. 19 to move forward with a new policy regarding drugs, which now includes testing for HGH for the first time.

Winston outlined what can be expected with the new policy:

"Each week of the season, five players on eight teams will be tested. No testing will occur on game days."

A first-time violator of the HGH policy will be suspended for up to six games, depending on the nature of the violation. A second violation will result in a 10-game suspension. A third violation will result in a minimum two-year ban.
