Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Brad Smith will miss the next couple of weeks after having surgery for a core muscle injury, Eagles head coach Brian Kelly said.

Smith was already ruled out of Sunday night's game against the New York Giants with a groin injury. He has one catch for 11 yards and recovered a blocked punt this season for Philadelphia (4-1).

The Eagles listed 11 players on the team's recent injury report. Center Jason Kelce also will not play against New York and linebackers Mychal Kendricks (calf) and DeMeco Ryans (groin) did not practice on Wednesday.

Philadelphia currently sits in first place in the NFC East.
