New York Giants running back Rashad Jennings said he's right on track with his recovery from an MCL sprain, according to Jordan Raanan of NJ.com

Jennings said he will begin running this week and hopes to play after the Giants Week 8 bye. New York doesn't play again until Nov. 3.

The running back injured his knee in the second half of the Giants’ Week 5 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. He did not need surgery, but it was reported that he could miss several weeks

The Giants have gone 0-2 without Jennings and have been outscored 58-21 in losses to the Cowboys and Eagles

Jennings is in his first season with New York. The 29-year-old has rushed for 396 yards and two touchdowns on 91 carries in five games this season. He also has 109 receiving yards.
