New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara sustained a torn bicep during Monday night's game against the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced. The injury will require surgery and will likely sideline Amukamara for the rest of the season.

The injury came during the first half when Amukamara attempted to make a tackle. He was forced to leave the game and the team had announced he would not return.

The 25-year-old has 42 tackles, three interceptions and 11 passes defended in his fourth season with the Giants.

Guard Weston Richburg also left the game early due to an ankle injury, the team announced

Last month, New York lost wide receiver Victor Cruz for the season due to a torn patellar tendon.

The Colts (6-3) won the game 40-24, dropping the Giants to 3-5 on the season.
