Jets' Rex Ryan 'anticipates' Geno Smith will remain starting QB

Jets coach Rex Ryan "anticipates" Geno Smith with remain the team's starting quarterback for the rest of the season, he told reporters Friday.

Ryan announced Wednesday that Smith would start Monday's game against the Dolphins.

Smith was benched in favor of Michael Vick after Smith threw three interceptions in eight pass attempts during a Week 8 loss to the Bills

Vick started the last three games for the Jets, but was pulled in last week's loss to the Bills after completing seven of 19 passes for 79 yards. Smith was 10 of 12 for 89 yards in relief. 

The New York Daily News reported Wednesday that Rex Ryan and others in the Jets organization wanted to stick with Vick for the rest of the season.
