Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is back on Twitter, ending the social media "strike" he announced earlier this week.

The Redskins snapped a six-game losing skid Saturday night with a 27-24 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Griffin went 16-of-23 for 220 yards and one interception, finishing with an 81.8 passer rating as the Redskins (4-11) pushed the Eagles (9-6) to the brink of playoff elimination. The Dallas Cowboys now have two chances to win the NFC East, beginning Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

FARRAR: Redskins deliver major blow to Eagles' playoff hopes

Earlier this week, Griffin said he would be staying off social media until the season ended because his words were being "twisted and turned" against him.

"It just felt like, for me, anything I was saying, whether it was positive or negative, whether it was a positive retweet or anything, was getting twisted and turned against me and against this team," Griffin said, according to ESPN.com. "I feel I can be free up here and talk to you guys, but sometimes things get twisted and turned and it creates a distraction for the team. I didn't want that to happen."

Griffin was announced the starter for Saturday's game after Colt McCoy was placed on injured reserve earlier this week with a neck injury. Before last week's game against the New York Giants, which McCoy started before exiting with the injury and having Griffin take over, McCoy had started Washington's last three games after Griffin was benched following the team's Nov. 23 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
