Former Tennessee running back Eddie George told SI Now onThursday he believes PEDs are 'very rampant' in the NFL today, and said he was approached about using steroids in the wake of a toe injury during the 2000 season.

"I think it's very rampant," George said whenasked how widespread he believes PEDs are in the NFL. "I think it’s very prevalent. I mean it’s tough for me to put my mind around somebody that can come back from an injury that takes typically a year to heal from totally in three, four months."

George made headlines in October when he attributed the rise in the number of domestic violence incidents in the NFL to being correlated with more players taking steroids.
