Cornerback Delvin Breaux has agreed to sign with the New Orleans Saints, according to a report from ESPN.com.

Breaux has spent the last two seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League.

He recorded 33 tackles and five pass breakups and returned an interception for a touchdown last season.

Breaux, 25, played in the Arena Football League prior to joining the CFL.

He was unable to get medical clearance to play college football after suffering a serious neck injury during a high school game in 2006.

The 6-foot-1, 196-pounder has reportedly worked out for more than a dozen NFL teams, including the Saints on Friday.

The Tiger-Cats reportedly agreed to release Breaux from his contract on Saturday, about two weeks before CFL players are eligible to sign with NFL teams.

New Orleans went 7-9 and finished second in the NFC South last season.
