Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane intercepted New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in the first quarter of Super Bowl XLIX.
The Patriots were driving in the red zone and were on the Seattle 10-yard line when Brady threw the interception. Lane picked off the pass in the end zone for the first interception of his career but was injured on the play and is doubtful to return.
Coming into this season, Brady had thrown 140 touchdown passes and two interceptions in the red zone over his career.

The first quarter ended in a scoreless tie.
