Super Bowl XLIX between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks began with several punts and an interception, but Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and wide receiver Brandon LaFell got the scoring started in the second quarter. 

Marshawn Lynch soon answered for the Seahawks to tie the game as scoring picked up in the second quarter.

Tom Brady opened the scoring with an 11-yard touchdown pass to Brandon LaFell, giving the Patriots an early lead. 

Later in the second quarter, Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch capped a 70-yard drive with a three-yard touchdown run to tie the game. 

Toward the end of the second quarter, both teams traded touchdowns. First, Tom Brady found tight end Rob Gronkowski for a 22-yard score.

Then Russell Wilson quickly drove the Seahawks down the field to tie the game. Chris Matthews caught an 11-yard touchdown to tie the game. 

In the third quarter, Doug Baldwin caught a touchdown from Russell Wilson to make the game 24-14. 

Then a Danny Amendola touchdown for the Patriots catch made the score 24-21. 

Julian Edelman's touchdown catch proved to be the game-winning play.
