Report: Raiders targeting Randall Cobb in free agency

The Oakland Raiders are expected to target Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb in free agency. Cobb, 24, caught 91 passes for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns last season for the Packers. It was reported earlier this month that he wants a contract worth around $9 million per season.

The Oakland Raiders are expected to target Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb in free agency, ESPN's Bill Williamson reports.

Cobb, 24, caught 91 passes for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns last season for the Packers. It was reported earlier this month that he wants a contract worth around $9 million per season.

Williamson reports the Packers are expected to sign Cobb to a new contract before he can enter free agency. The Packers finished last season ranked No. 1 in scoring and No. 6 in yards gained.

The Raiders finished 3-13 last season and were ranked No. 31 in points and No. 32 in yards. Rookie quarterback Derek Carr started all sixteen games, completing 58.1 percent of his passes for 3,270 yards, 21 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Andre Holmes led the team with 693 receiving yards, and former Packer James Jones led Oakland with six touchdowns. 

The Raiders hired former Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio to be their new head coach last month. They have the No. 4 pick in the upcoming draft.
