Defensive tackle Darnell Dockett will visit the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night, reports Ed Werder of ESPN.com.

Dockett, who will turn 34 in May, was released by the Arizona Cardinals last week after 11 seasons. The Cardinals saved $6.8 million in cap space by releasing Dockett, though he could return under a renegotiated deal.

[daily_cut.nfl]Dockett's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told AZCentral.com that Dockett is drawing "a lot of interest" from teams and "should have his situation resolved by the end of the week."

Dockett is able to sign with another team immediately since he was released. Free agency officially begins March 10, though teams can begin negotiating contracts with unrestricted free agents on Saturday.

Dockett did not play last season after tearing his ACL in training camp. In 2013, he recorded 46 tackles and 4.5 sacks.

A third-round draft pick by the Cardinals in 2004, Dockett has recorded 459 tackles, 40.5 sacks, 12 fumble recoveries, seven forced fumbles and four interceptions over his 11-year career.
