Amendola played the first four seasons of his career for the St. Louis Rams, leading the league in all-purpose yards in 2010.

This week, the Patriots lost a pair of key players from last year's championship roster. Cornerback Darrelle Revis returned to the New York Jets, while running back Shane Vereen signed with the New York Giants.
