St. Louis Rams running back Zac Stacy plans to ask the team to release him or trade him, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports

The Rams selected Georgia running back Todd Gurley with the 10th pick in Thursday night's draft. Immediately after the pick was announced, Stacy tweeted "Yikes," and later deleted the message.

Stacy was a fifth-round pick in 2013 and started 12 games as a rookie. He rushed for 973 yards with seven touchdowns on 250 carries in his first season. Stacy's role in the Rams offense decreased in his second season, as he carried only 76 times, compared to 179 yards for rookie Tre Mason.

Gurley is currently recovering from a torn ACL suffered last November. He played only five games in 2014 due to injury and an NCAA suspension but still totaled 911 yards rushing and averaged 7.4 yards per carry.
