The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed offensive lineman Doug Legursky, the team announced Tuesday.

On Sunday, Steelers' All-Pro center Maurkice Pouncey suffered a broken ankle in a preseason game against the Green Bay Packers. Pouncey underwent surgery on Monday and has been placed on the injured reserve list.

The Steelers signed Legursky as an undrafted free agent in 2008. In four NFL seasons, Legursky played 50 games with Pittsburgh, starting in 17. He also spent time with the Buffalo Bills in 2013 and the San Diego Chargers in 2014.

Legursky started at center during Super Bowl XLV for an injured Pouncey.
