Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is officially active for Week 6 against the Detroit Lions and will see his first playing time since the opening game of the season.

Jeffery has missed the last four games after suffering a hamstring injury during practice. He had been suffering from a calf injury leading up to Week 1, and the team has been cautious in increasing Jeffery’s work load.

Jeffery practiced with the team throughout the week, although he never got beyond limited activity.

Jeffery caught five passes for 78 yards against the Green Bay Packers in his only game so far this season. He has led the Bears in receiving the last two seasons, pulling in 85 receptions for 1133 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2014.
