San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, the team announced.

Hyde has been dealing with a stress fracture in his left foot and did not practice all week. He missed last weekend's 27–6 loss against the St. Louis Rams.

The second-year pro out of Ohio State ranks 15th in the NFL in rushing yards this season, with 470.

Kendall Gaskins and Mike Davis saw increased workload in Hyde’s absence last weekend. Gaskins finished with five carries for six yards as Davis carried the ball 10 times for just four yards. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick finished with 28 rushing yards for a team-high last weekend.
