Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee left Sunday’s game against the Eagles and was diagnosed with a concussion, the team announced.

Lee had a concussion earlier this year, suffered in Dallas’s Oct. 4 game against the Saints. He was cleared to return to practice on the following Thursday and played in the Cowboys’ game against the Patriots on Oct. 11.

Lee missed all of last season with a torn ACL but returned to the field this year and started all eight of Dallas’s games. He has 61 total tackles (36 solo) this season and one sack, along with an interception and three pass deflections.

Before he can return to practice, Lee must go through the league’s concussion protocol, which includes passing a battery of neurological tests.
