Broncos QB Peyton Manning expected to miss at least two games
Wednesday November 25th, 2015

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is expected to miss at least the next two games, coach Gary Kubiak said Tuesday.

Manning visited with a foot and ankle specialist in Charlotte on Monday, and will have his foot in a cast for at least a week.

“Peyton and I had a good visit today, and we’ve got a plan in place for his recovery,” Kubiak told reporters“His foot will be in a cast for at least a week, but he’ll be able to be part of meetings and do some workouts with the rest of the team. We expect him to be unavailable for at least a couple of games. We'll proceed from there and will continue to support him as he does everything he can to get healthy.”

• KING: Osweiler’s game creating difficult situation for Denver

25-year-old Brock Osweiler will start this week against the Patriots in Manning’s absence. In his first start last week, a 17–15 win over the Bears, Osweiler completed 20 of 27 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns.

Sunday night would have been the 17th time that Manning and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had played each other.

Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET.
