San Francisco 49ers C Alex Boone criticizes referees after loss

San Francisco 49ers center Alex Boone had some harsh words for the referees after his team’s 19–13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
The 49ers were called for 13 penalties compared to the Cardinals’ seven during the loss. Boone said after the game, “Those refs sucked.”
The referees incorrectly called an illegal touching penalty on Cardinals receiver John Brown in the first half, and miscalled a too many men on the field penalty against the 49ers on the same drive. San Francisco was also called for a questionable roughing the passer penalty in the fourth quarter.
49ers coach Jim Tomsula said he would not comment on the officiating. FOX broadcaster and former NFL official Mike Pereira explained some of the errors during the game.
That first half sequence in #AZvsSF was REALLY confusing.

The best call would have been no call at all.
