The Indianapolis Colts have signed free agent quarterbacks Josh Freeman and Ryan Lindley, the team announced Tuesday.

On Monday, it was reported that Freeman was working out for the Colts, who have had some bad luck at the quarterback position this season.

Andrew Luck is recovering from a lacerated kidney and a partially torn abdominal muscle, which he sustained in the team’s 27–24 victory over the Broncos on Nov. 8. Matt Hasselbeck sustained a shoulder injury in Sunday’s win over the Dolphins, with third-string quarterback Charlie Whitehurst taking his place. Whitehurst then sustained a hamstring injury in the fourth quarter and was placed on injured reserve on Monday.

Freeman was selected in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The quarterback has not taken a snap since 2013, but was a member of the Dolphins’ practice squad this year.

Over the course of his career, Freeman has thrown for 13,724 yards and 80 touchdowns.

Lindley has not played since injuries to Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton forced him to start a playoff game for the Cardinals last season. He was with the Patriots in training camp this season.

The Colts (7–8) will take on the Titans (3–12) on Sunday.
