Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson considering retirement

Detroit Lions star wide receiver Calvin Johnson is considering stepping away from the game after nine NFL seasons.
On Wednesday, the 30-year-old released a statement saying that he is “currently evaluating options for my future."
"I would expect to have a decision regarding this matter in the not-too-distant future,” Johnson continued.
The Lions released a statement soon after Johnson’s uncertainty with his career became public knowledge, saying the organization understands and respects him giving thought about his future.

Since being drafted by the Lions in 2007, Johnson has caught 731 passes for 11,619 yards and 83 touchdowns. He will head to his six-straight Pro Bowl in 2015, after posting 1,214 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
