The San Francisco 49ers will sign former Calgary Stampeders receiver Eric Rogers to a two-year deal, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The 6'4", 215 pound Rogers caught 87 balls for 1,448 yards and 10 touchdowns with Calgary last season, leading the CFL. He will reportedly receive $300,000 in guaranteed money. According to ESPN, he visited with 16 NFL teams before picking the Niners.

Rogers was a Division III standout at California Lutheran, but failed to catch on as an undrafted free agent in Dallas in 2013. He spent time with the Arena League’s Portland Thunder before starring in Calgary.

Chip Kelly, who favors a fast-paced offense, was announced as San Francisco’s new head coach last week.
