New York Giants lineman Jay Bromley likely won’t be charged with the attempted rape of a woman at the Hyatt Herald Square Hotel in Midtown, reports The New York Post.

On Sunday, reports surfaced that Bromley had been accused attempting to rape a 26-year-old woman after the two met at a hotel.

According to the reports, the two eventually parted ways, after which Bromley allegedly hit the woman with his car after refusing to drive her home. She reportedly jumped on top of the car to prevent him from leaving and fell off the hood as he drove off.

However, according to The Post, the police now believe the sex was consensual and that Bromley’s accuser demanded money from the lineman.

Bromley reportedly also will not be charged with assault based on the claim that he hit the woman with his car due to surveillance video that refutes the allegation.

Bromley’s accuser reportedly has a history of seeking out athletes on Instagram, seeking payment in exchange for sex.
