• The father of Broncos defensive end Antonio Smith has died after suffering complications following heart surgery, Smith told the Denver Post on Wednesday.

• The Los Angeles Rams are interested in signing Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning for the 2016 season, assuming he decides not to retire after the Super Bowl, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.

• Manning's doctor said he’ll eventually need hip replacement surgery, Manning told reporters Wednesday.
