Draft season is here, and for amateur scouts and forward-thinking fans alike, it’s time to study up with the On the Clock NFL Draft Podcast with Chris Burke, a weekly look at the prospects of the 2016 draft and the NFL teams most in need of their services.
Two top defensive prospects join the show for this week’s episode ahead of the NFL combine in Indianapolis. First, Mississippi State defensive lineman Chris Jones discusses his decision to go pro early and relays a few memorable stories about his teammate and fellow combine invitee Dak Prescott. Then Arizona linebacker Scooby Wright joins the show to reflect on his decorated 2014 season—in which he won the Bednarik, Nagurski and Lombardi Awards as a sophomore—as well as his injury-plagued 2015 campaign. Then we revisit the bottom half of our top 10 quarterback rankings, where there has been a little more movement as the evaluation period enters a critical stretch.
