The New England Patriots have re-signed running back LeGarrette Blount to a one-year deal, according to multiple reports.

The 29-year-old Blount has spent parts of the last three seasons with the Patriots. He rushed for a team-best 703 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games last year before sustaining an injury in December.

The veteran joins Dion Lewis, Donald Brown, Brandon Bolden and James White in a crowded New England backfield.
