The San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins are currently in discussions with free agent cornerback Josh Norman, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Regardless of which team he lands with, the deal is expected to be worth $14-15 million per season over five years.

Norman became a free agent Thursday after the Carolina Panthers rescinded his franchise tag. The team decided to let Norman go after the two sides could not get close on the terms of a long term contract.

Norman was among the top cornerbacks in the NFL last season, making 48 tackles and four interceptions on his way to earning All-Pro honors.
