Former Patriots running back Kevin Faulk honored his old teammate Tom Brady at the NFL draft on Friday.

Faulk announced the Patriots’ third-round selection while wearing a Brady jersey, and prefaced the pick by saying “the New England Patriots and Tom Brady select.”

Brady has been embroiled in a battle with the league since last year, when he was suspended four games for his role in the Deflategate scandal. Brady’s suspension was overturned in a federal court last season, but an appeals court ruled in favor of the league earlier this month.

The NFL draft continues Saturday with Rounds 4–7.
