On the Clock Podcast: The ACC's best 2017 NFL draft prospects

The ACC may end up producing the 2017 draft’s No. 1 quarterback and its No. 1 running back, in addition to the No. 1 pick in 2018.

As the college football season heats up, so too does the analysis and discussion of the prospects who will define the 2017 NFL draft in Philadelphia. Welcome to the On the Clock Podcast, a weekly look at the prospects of the 2017 draft and the NFL teams most in need of their services.

The Atlantic Coast Conference took center stage last weekend, as NFL evaluators honed in on Clemson’s thrilling win over Louisville and North Carolina’s dramatic upset of Florida State. The conference may end up producing the 2017 draft’s No. 1 quarterback (Clemson’s DeShaun Watson) and its No. 1 running back (FSU’s Dalvin Cook), in addition to the No. 1 pick in 2018 (Louisville QB Lamar Jackson). This week, Pro Football Focus lead ACC writer John Breitenbach joins the show to discuss the talent around the conference and the top performers on both sides of the ball from last weekend’s action.
