49ers’ Carlos Hyde Injures Hip vs. Rams, Returns to Game

San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde left the first quarter of Thursday night’s game against the Los Angeles Rams with a hip injury, but returned for the start of the second half.
After injuring himself, Hyde briefly returned to the game before walking back off the field while shaking his head. He was originally listed as questionable to return and missed the second quarter as the Rams took a 24–13 lead at the midway point. Rookie tailback Matt Breida served as Hyde’s primary backup.
Hyde had three straight carries for a total of 25 yards prior to the injury, and came back for the Niners’ opening series of the third quarter.
