Bills offensive lineman Richie Incognito sharply criticized the concept of Thursday Night Football following Buffalo's 34–21 loss to the Jets on Thursday.

Incognito complained that Thursday night games and the four-day weeks that typically precede them disrupt the team's schedule.

"They suck," Incognito said of Thursday night games, according to ESPN.com. "They throw a wrench in our schedule. It's absolutely ridiculous that we have to do this. As physical as this game is, as much work and preparation that goes into this, to force us to play games on four-day weeks, it's completely unfair and bulls---. The league makes money off it, and that's all they care about anyway."

The league has added more Thursday night games in recent years, expanding its broadcast package in 2016. This season, the NFL schedule features 14 Thursday night games, plus two additional day games on Thanksgiving.

Buffalo's loss to New York moved the Bills to 5–3 on the season, still good for second place in the AFC East entering the weekend. The Jets are 4–5.
