The Vikings are coming off a humbling 26-23 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, in which they allowed two late field goals, including one as time expired. The loss is particularly damaging and telling considering the fact that reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes didn't play.

Kirk Cousins was again solid in the loss, throwing for 220 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. It was the lack of a running game that really plagued Minnesota’s ability to move the ball against the Chiefs. Minnesota has some questions to answer against Dallas. Are they among the best teams in the conference or will they struggle for one of the last playoff spots? We should get some answers in this one.

The Cowboys handled the division rival New York Giants pretty easily on Monday Night Football, 37-18. Dak Prescott was his usual dynamic self, throwing for 257 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Ezekiel Elliott added 139 yards on the ground to once again prove Dallas’ offense is well-rounded and dangerous.

The defensive line of the Cowboys got to rookie quarterback Daniel Jones for five sacks, making it extremely difficult all game long. It will need to do the same to Cousins, who is extremely good at avoiding mistakes. If the Cowboys can force him into a turnover or two, it would help their chances of winning greatly.
