Ravens Hire Georgia’s Todd Monken As Offensive Coordinator

In this story:
The Ravens are hiring Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken to take over the same role with the NFL franchise, the team announced Tuesday morning.
Monken, a 34-year coaching veteran in the college and professional ranks, served as the Bulldogs’ offensive coordinator from 2020-22. Under his supervision, Georgia won back-to-back national championships in ’21 and ’22, and its quarterback, Stetson Bennett, finished fourth in the Heisman voting this season.
The Ravens have hired Georgia OC Todd Monken to be their new offensive coordinator. Monken turned down the Bucs job, but still wanted to get back to the pros, and was sought after the last few weeks.

Bulldogs could dip back into the NFL, like they did w/Monken, to replace him.
Before his stint in Athens, Ga., Monken spent 2016-18 and ’19 as the offensive coordinator of the Buccaneers and Browns, respectively. Tampa Bay finished third in the league in total offense under Monken in his final year, at the time the franchise's highest finish in that category in its four-decade existence.
Monken also worked as the Jaguars' wide receivers coach from 2007-10.
He will replace offensive coordinator Greg Roman, who was fired after Baltimore finished 19th in scoring offense and lost to the Bengals in an AFC wild-card game.
The Ravens are entering a crucial offseason as they attempt to negotiate a long-term extension with quarterback Lamar Jackson.
