Terrell Owens Struck by Car After Pickup Basketball Dispute, per Authorities

Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens was hit by a car on Monday night in Calabasas, Calif., following an argument after a pickup basketball game, according to TMZ.

Owens allegedly got into a dispute with another man on the court during the game. After the contest, the other man jumped into his car and drove it into Owens’s knee.

The former six-time Pro Bowler was not hurt severely and did not require medical assistance. However, KTLA-TV in Los Angeles reported that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the altercation as a deliberate act.

The department filed a report that included assault with a deadly weapon, according to KTLA-TV. As of Tuesday morning, the man who was driving the car had not been arrested.

Owens played 15 seasons in the NFL and finished with 15,934 receiving yards in his career, putting him in third on the all-time receiving list behind Jerry Rice and Larry Fitzgerald. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
