Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith was knocked out of action on Sunday thanks to a big hit delivered by Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

The hit came with Seattle already holding a 16–7 lead as the third quarter was coming to a close.

Donald sliced his way right up the gut of the Seahawks’ offensive line and met Smith in the backfield, taking him to the ground.

Smith was just able to send a pass skyward before a brick wall smashed into him at full speed. He would leave the game for the blue medical tent, leaving backup quarterback Drew Lock to take over the reins of the Seattle offense.

Smith was designated as questionable to return due to an elbow injury.
