Giants’ Tommy DeVito Leads Game-Winning Drive Against Packers

After taking over as the starter to little fanfare ahead of Week 10, Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito’s time in the spotlight reached a fever pitch Monday night following his team’s win over the Packers.

With New York trailing 22–21 with 1:33 to play, DeVito completed four consecutive passes, including a 32-yard dime to receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, to help set up a 37-yard Randy Bullock field goal to win it for the Giants as time expired.

The eight-play, 57-yard game-winning drive marked the first such series of DeVito’s young career in what was also his prime time debut, placing the rookie QB at the center of the Giants’ crucial upset in front of a national audience.

Winners of their last three games, the Giants (5–8) now find themselves in the race for a wild card spot, with the DeVito and Saquon Barkley-led offense surging in recent weeks after a horrid start and multiple QB changes.

New York’s story figures to be one to watch with the season approaching its final weeks. But thanks to his heroics, DeVito’s status as a fan favorite and rising rookie will now receive just as much, if not, more attention based on Monday’s reactions:
